The Mumbai team, which arrived by train a couple of days ago to acclimatise to the cold weather here, practiced for nearly fours hours on Saturday. Arjun was an instant hit when word spread that the batting great’s son was in town. A huge crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of Arjun outside the practice arena. Fans tried clicking pictures with Arjun, but the bodyguards prevented them from coming close.

The kid was quite nervous initially when he saw the amount of people gathered to see him. He was his usual self later. The southpaw batted first and then practiced spin bowling.

He picked up a wicket off his first ball, much to his delight.u00a0While Arjun is expected to make his debut on the junior domestic scene, Sachin will be in action at Delhi’s Palam Ground which should be good enough for play to resume in Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy semi-final against Services.u00a0
