From studying medicine to making music, singer-composer Arko has come a long way. Launched by Mahesh Bhatt in Bollywood as music director of Jism 2 (2012), Arko delivered a big hit last year with Tere Sang Yaara in Akshay Kumar-starrer Rustom. He is on a high once again — his new single Reeva has become the No.1 Breakout in the Billboard Dance Club 50 Charts, edging past creations of Bruno Mars, Sia and Elton Jones.

Says Arko, "For the past one year, Sujit Tewari and Shehan Raj of my management team have been working on my parallel career in the West, and we decided to independently launch the single. Now, we have major labels chasing us for a tie-up. We have received positive response from the US markets with this track playing in every single nightclub. Next, I am looking at collaborating with mainstream artistes like Bruno Mars and John Legend among others."

Reeva, which was at No. 49 a couple of days ago, has now soared to the 43rd slot. With this, sources inform, Arko has become the first Indian singer-songwriter to enter the coveted Billboard Charts. While the song was unveiled a month ago, the video will be launched today with worldwide retail release of the EPK for download. It was shot in Los Angeles with international supermodels.

The original club mix has been remixed by global DJs Hybrid Heights and Sted E. The track will have a Bollywood mix featuring DJ Aqeel, YouTube sensation Shirley Setia and rapper Raftaar and an EDM mix featuring Lost Stories.
