Arnold invokes Gandhi for green movement
Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger yesterday invoked Mahatma Gandhi's non-violence movement as a perfect example to start a global green energy campaign to fight climate change.
Speaking at the 12th Delhi Sustainable Development Summit here, the former governor of California said that he is on a mission to spread awareness about clean and green energy.
"Most powerful movements in history, like that of (fighting) apartheid, American civil war and fight of Indian independence started at grassroots level by a single person, like Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther. They did not wait for higher authorities to give them go ahead to do something like this," he said.
