The differently-abled students of The Gateway School of Mumbai are taking to expressing themselves through visual arts. As part of their Visual Arts programme, they promote the students to use their senses and express themselves. These artworks will now enjoy their moment in spotlight at the Delhi Art Gallery.

The Gateway School of Mumbai is a non-profit school established by The Keshavlal V Bodani Education Foundation (Mumbai) in affiliation with the Gateway School of New York.

The vision behind this collaboration was to introduce international practices in the field of special education
and rehabilitation therapies in Mumbai.

Their art programme focusses on visual art as a way of sensing, thinking, feeling and communicating. The curriculum focusses on the individual needs of the child engaging in visual art. It allows students to explore materials with one’s body and mind in a facilitated creative, risk-allowing safe space.
