Taruna Dhingra Kumar, wife of an associate with The Bank of America Merrill Lynch, was found dead in the compound of Sukhada Apartment in Worli
The Worli police have concluded that Taruna Dhingra Kumar (28), wife of Dhawal Kumar, an associate with The Bank of America Merrill Lynch, fell from the window and did not commit suicide.

She had been found dead on October 16 at Sukhada Apartment where she stayed at Worli. The police said that the air-conditioning of the bedroom was not functioning, so Taruna opened the window and stood there for fresh air around 2.30 am on Friday night when she fell.

“Her family members have not complained about anything. Her father, Ramkishan Dhingra, recorded his statement in front of us and has not said he suspects anyone,” said a police officer from Worli police station. Taruna had married Dhawal Kumar on September 28, 2014.
The police said the post mortem report also does not suggest any other injury apart from the injuries sustained in the fall. “She fell straight down under the window at Sukhada Apartment in Worli. If she had committed suicide, she would have fallen a little farther from the window,” said Vinay Kulkarni, senior police inspector of Worli police station.
“Dhawal and his brother Dhruv, along with two friends and Taruna played scrabble, after which she went to sleep in the bedroom, locking the door from inside. Later the watchman knocked on the main door and told Dhawal, Dhruv and their two friends about her fall,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone III, S Jayakumar.
Taruna’s sister, Savi Dhingra, who came from London, told the cops that she (Taruna) had the habit of standing at the window in the middle of night for fresh air, claimed the cops. Sukhada Apartment is famous as several top politicians like Ajit Pawar, Pankaja Munde, Manikrao Thakare, Shivraj Patil, Patangrao Kadam and Anil Deshmukh stay there.
