Ashish Sharma, who is currently seen as Ram on 'Siya Ke Ram', is happy with his look in the mythological TV show. The actor says it gives a "majestic feel" in a very subtle way.
He is sporting long hair for the role, and even the long vermillion mark on his forehead has a back story.
"The 'teeka' was brought to me by my mother. She has got it especially from a Ram temple from up north. My family is really happy that I'm playing Ram," Ashish said in a statement.
He added: "I'll be sporting the same 'teeka' on the show. Though it was for authenticity, it's really important as it has now got a personal touch to it".
The actor, who has also featured in shows like 'Chandragupta Maurya' and 'Rang Rasiya', said that "as for my look, it's the perfect way that Ram should be. It's got a royal and majestic feel yet it's so subtle that one can actually feel his calmness and serenity".
'Siya Ke Ram', which is aired on Star Plus, presents the story of the epic Ramayana from Sita's perspective. It also features Madirakshi Mundle, Dalip Tahil, Bhargavi Chirmule and Manish Wadhwa among others.
