To avoid further political turbulence that may possibly put his government in danger, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa will have to keep away from good friend and cabinet colleague Shobha Karandlaje, cautioned Ranganath Joshi, a stargazer from Hubli.
Trained under a well-known astrologer Vasudeva Shastri, Joshi also advised that the CM must keep off women when it comes to politics, and it will better for him to not have any women in his cabinet.

How it was done
Although a proper horoscope of the CM is not available ufffd his birth time is not recorded accurately ufffd Joshi made his prediction based on the 'Prashne Jataka' of Yeddyurappa's government, which was formed on May 30, 2009. The CM took oath of office at 12.05 pm. Joshi considered this time as the birth of the government and the made it as the base of his study.
'I had told so'
"I had told earlier that Yeddyurappa should not include Shobha in his cabinet. If he would have followed this, his government would have had a smooth sailing," claimed Joshi. He added that although he has not met the CM, the message was conveyed to Yeddyurappa's family member, who met him recently for the advice.
"I don't want to reveal the name. All I want to say it that Yeddyurappa government can complete its term comfortably only if he addresses certain issues," said Joshi.
Reason for problems
While the closeness between the CM and Shobha had made tongues waging in the political circle, her inclusion in the cabinet had caused heart burn for many senior members in the BJP, as they were ignored to accommodate the first-time-MLA.
Even as there were rumbles in the party over this, Shobha started briefing the press about cabinet meeting, which is usually done by a senior minister. Shobha's one-upmanship in the party and the government was one of the reasons for the dissidents to revolt under the leadership of the Reddy brothers.
About 54 MLAs holed up in hotel in Hyderabad, in 2009, demanding their due share. In the bargain, Yeddyurappa was forced to drop his friend from the cabinet. Later, the CM was seen was in tears and he wept in public saying he was so pained to drop Shobha.
How it began, again
The trouble re-visited when Yeddyurappa re-inducted Shobha in the cabinet last year. This time, 16 rebels ufffd 11 from the BJP and five independents ufffd pulled their support from the government. This led to the speaker disqualifying them followed by the CM seeking trust vote twice in a gap of two days.
After the Supreme Court quashed the disqualification and the legislators returning to his fold, the CM went for the trust vote again last week to win it in the absence of the opposition.
Being partial
"While it seems everything is over, the trouble is still brewing in the party. The MLAs are unhappy with the way Yeddyurappa deals with them. In fact, the issue was raised in the last legislators' party meeting, but it only fell on the deaf ears," said a BJP MLA.
Many legislators reportedly accused the CM of being partial to Shobha, who staged the walkout in protest.u00a0
Problems ahead
According to Joshi, all this didn't happen without any reason. "The astrological predications are ruthlessly scientific. However, there are remedies for all problems," said Joshi.
He said that due to the transition of Jupiter, Yeddyurappa government will face trouble in November this year. "He will face a tough time from July relating to cabinet expansion," predicted Joshi.
While Yeddyurappa was not available for comment, Shobha declined to react.
"Whether we believe it or not, these astrological predictions assume importance as the Chief Minister has projected himself as a staunch believer," said a source close to Yeddyurapppa.
Meanwhile, R P Jagadish, media advisor to the CM, said, "I don't know about the astrological prediction. However, I don't see any possibility of the cabinet expansion for now."
