A time-recording chip has been implanted in the shoes of the runners to get the exact time taken to reach the finish line.
The event has been held every monsoon for the last 25 years.
The winner, Santosh Kumar Singh
Thane Mayor H.S.Patil, MP Srikant Shinde and other TMC officers (pictured below) also participated in the marathon.
