Avoid stress at work

Your phone is buzzing; your email has exceeded its quota, you hardly have any time to finish a presentation that your boss wants and your wife is pestering you to come home early for dinner.u00a0 We don't blame you if you are feeling stressed out. Here are some tips that'll help you tide over the stress:

Make friends
Just knowing that you have friends in office who will listen to you and be a part of your problems is enough to de-stress. But while it is important to bond with friends, just make sure they don't affect your productivity.

Decorate your space
Try to beautify your workstation with nice pretty quotes, photos, pictures, a comic strip or may be fresh flowers, whenever you are in the mood for them. You could also place bonsai plants to add colour to your desk. But please don't clutter your work space with decorative items.

Prioritise
As oon as you enter the office, figure out the jobs that need to be completed and their order of priority. In that way, you won't suddenly think of a job that needs to be finished in the middle of the day. If you have an unpleasant job to finish, get it out of your way first. Drop tasks that aren't really necessary to the bottom of the list and list out jobs that can be oushed off to the next day.

Leave work at work
Don't take your office home. If you do, you are bound to get stressed out.
Stay positive and take things with a pinch of salt and you'll see your worries disappearing in no time.
