Awadhe Warriors thumped the Delhi Smashers 4-1 in an IBL clash at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi here last night courtesy some stunning performances from K Srikanth and icon player PV Sindhu.
Srikanth started Awadhe Warriors’ march by taming B Sai Praneeth 21-14, 21-9 in the first men’s singles match. World Championship bronze medallist Sindhu then breezed past Arundhati Pantawane 21-16, 21-17 in the women’s singles tie to make it 2-0.

In the men’s doubles, Kien Keat Koo and Boon Hoeng Tan pulled on back for Delhi beating Markis Kido and Mathias Boe 21-16, 21-19. Then, in the second men’s singles, Awadhe’s Gurusai Dutt beat Darren Liew 21-16, 21-20 to make it 3-1.
Finally, in the mixed doubles, Awadhe’s Markis Kido and Pia Bernadeth beat Delhi Smashers’ V Diju and Prajakta Sawant 21-20, 21-19 to give the Warriors a deserving 4-1 win.u00a0
