Azim’s stage performance held the audience spellbound. There is no substitute to hard work and who knows that better than the youngster, who will soon make a mark in his upcoming venture Qasam Se Qasam Se.
“When Azim was chosen to give a live performance at the Dadasaheb Phalke awards to mark the centenary of Indian cinema, he was surprised and at the same time very excited. After all it was an honour for any newcomer to be selected to perform live at the prestigious award function,” said a source.
Azim did not leave any stone unturned to make his act as hatke as possible. The source added, “He rehearsed day in and out, preparing himself to perfection. On the D-day, the budding actor not only came up with an unusual but also an extraordinary performance.
This is for first time that an actor did a fusion of dance and action stunts. The act included exhaustive dance steps that were merged with somersaults, skip ups, aerial cartwheel. The entire performance was done without the use of cable. It was a daring feat that took the audience by surprise, more so because it had been done by a newcomer.”
When contacted Azim enthusiastically said, “It was a special day for me. The reaction that I garnered was simply unbelievable! Now I know why actors love to perform on stage and do stage shows. It’s different high altogether.”
