Top directors always opt for him when it comes to mixing the sound of their pet projects. In fact directors insist on having only him as a part of their ambitious ventures. Sound engineer Alok De is a name to reckon with. The reason why the makers of Qasam Se Qasam Se, too, wanted him to come on board.
“Alok De has had only top banners to his credit. He has done over 200 films — a repertoire that rarely a sound engineer boasts of,” says a source.
When approached for QSQS, De thought it would be just the usual run-of-the-mill film of a newcomer. Alok De, however, was not prepared for what awaited him on screen.
The source adds, “He was shocked! Alok watched the film again and again. He practically watched it seven times. What’s more his response was completely the opposite of what was expected. Alok said that he was keen to be on board and to be a part of the venture.”
Says De, “Qasam Se Qasam Se took me by surprise! It just grabbed my attention.” De further adds that he was pretty impressed with Azim’s acting and technical skills. “The boy has sound knowledge of filmmaking. I noticed that when I called him to the studio to discuss the film.
I took personal interest and asked Azim to re-dub some portions that he did. Azim is so matured in the film that it seems he has already done many films before. In my entire career, I’ve never come across a boy so complete and perfect in his first film. Also QSQS is no ordinary venture I must say.
It is bound to create an emotional furore in the hearts of audiences.” Azim says, “It was an honour to have a veteran like Alok sir on board. His faith in me makes me confident regarding Qasam Se Qasam Se.”
