Los Angeles: The film "Battle of the Sexes", starring Emma Stone and Steve Carell, will release on September 22.

The movie, which is based on the 1973 infamous tennis match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs, will hit the screens in the US later this year, reported AceShowbiz.
While Stone will play former world number one female tennis player King, Carell will be seen in the role of former champion Riggs in the film based on the match between the two sportspersons, which is believed to be a symbolic face-off about gender equality.
The film also stars Elisabeth Shue, Alan Cumming, Andrea Riseborough, Sarah Silverman, Austin Stowell and Natalie Morales
