The super success of Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn's Golmaal series has the industry in a tizzy. No wannabe comic director will dare to take on the formidable Shetty-Devgn combination.
With the successful Golmaal franchise out of reckoning in 2011,
director Anees Bazmi has been asked to step on the pedal for
two comedies
Comedy man Anees Bazmi, however, is an exception. With the Golmaal franchise out of the race in 2011, Bazmi has been asked to step on the pedal with two of his comedy franchises.
While producer Boney Kapoor wants him to buck up with the No Entry sequel, producer Feroz Nadiadwala is in no less a hurry. He wants Bazmi to wrap up Hera Pheri 3 quickly.
All this to cash in on the ongoing success of the comedy genre and play the field in a year free of the Golmaal behemoth.
While Kapoor wants the sequel to No Entry (No Entry Mein Entry) to be the first big comedy of 2011, Feroz Nadiadwala would rather use the year to create his own mirth worth at the box office.
Caught in the crossfire, Bazmi confirms, "Yes I'm in the process of scripting both, No Entry Mein Entry and Hera Pheri 4. Whichever is finished first will go on the floors first."
Chances are the script for the No Entry sequel is likely to be completed first. The problem is, Nadiadwala has blocked dates with Abhishek Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt for Hera Pheri 4.
