Meanwhile, Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) will felicitate Laxman on Sunday — the third day of the Bangalore Test. The T20 World Cup to be played in Sri Lanka from September 18 to October 7.
It is learnt that the Bangalore-based association will also honour former India left-arm spinner Sunil Joshi, who retired recently.
Laxman is the second great batsman not to extend his career after the disastrous tour of Australia where the team lost 0-4 to Michael Clarke’s Australians. Dravid was the first.
