The Board members are keeping a close eye on the likely outcome in the Supreme Court if it decides to implement the Lodha Commission recommendations.

'Every possibility'
The BCCI had appointed interim presidents — late Jagmohan Dalmiya (2013) and Shivlal Yadav (2014). "There is every possibility now. It has become a game," a BCCI member told mid-day yesterday.

As per BCCI procedure, the secretary will have to call a Special General Body meeting with a 14-day notice to apprise the Board members on the next course of action.

Sources have also indicated the need to appoint an interim president would arise if the ruling group fails to arrive at a common consensus for their presidential candidate.
