Head to the Frog this Sunday for a Punk night that will see three bands under the spotlight. The final draw? The gig is free!

The Facebook page of ennui.BOMB's Punk Night event probably reflects the state of the Punk Rock community in the city: niche but passionate. The event and artiste management company, that will soon start their own record label, has put a word out to all live-performance-starved Punk Rock fans in the city to assemble for a high energy gig and has received a fairly enthusiastic response.

(From T to B) Pip of the Fourth Mother, Blek and The
Riot Peddlers

"It will also give people the chance to listen to Power-Pop Shillong band Pip of the Fourth Mother that is performing in the city for the first time," says Rishu Singh, director of the company. The other bands performing at the Punk Rock Night event include The Riot Peddlers that claim to be India's very first hardcore Punk act, and Blek (formerly Blech), an all-original Alternative trio.

"These two bands are making waves in the underground Punk Rock scene in their own way," Rishu shares. If we haven't already persuaded you to get your behind to Lower Parel this weekend, may be this will. The gig is free! Wait, there has to be a catch, right? "No," smiles Rishu. "It's just that we have always been about the audience." May be we can finally get ourselves a beer from the pricey in-house bar and not feel so bad about blowing up a bomb.

On May 15, 9 pm. At Blue Frog, Mathuradas Mills Compound, NM Joshi Marg, Lower Parel. Call 61586158
