Los Angeles: Actors Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner fled to the Bahamas with their three children "to get away from the media spotlight" as soon as the news of their divorce broke.

The Hollywood couple, who announced that they were divorcing after 10 years of marriage a day after their 10th wedding anniversary on June 30, were spotted with their children -- Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and three-year-old Samuel -- at a private Bahamas resort on Wednesday.

"It was important for both Ben and Jen to get away from the media spotlight and spend quiet time with the kids. They have been spending a lot of time with the kids. This has been hard for everyone, but they are both doing everything to put the kids first," a source told pagesix.com.

The source went on to add that the 42-year-old "Gone Girl" actor looked "grey", while his 43-year-old estranged wife seemed happier.

The source said: "Ben looked more grey than usual, but Jen was in great spirits. Jen seemed in a great mood, and was spotted working out with a trainer.

"The grey -- it's a concern. Ben and Jen are just worried about how the kids will adjust. That's why they went away together."
