Doha: In the end, it was one goal that separated AFC Cup finalists Bengaluru FC and Air Force Club at the Qatar Sports Club Stadium on Saturday. And the goal was not to be from the Indian outfit. Hammadi Ahmad of Air Force Club scored the all-important winner in the 71st minute.

The Indian outfit tried hard thereafter for the equaliser but it wasn’t to be and the Iraqi side were eventually crownd AFC Champions.

Earlier, the match was locked 0-0 at half time with Air Force Club dominating the first 45 minutes and Bengaluru defending their citadel resolutely.

Air Force Club were rewarded USD 1 million for their effort, while BFC were richer by half a million USD.
