Ankush Arora, better known as Kartik in TV series Yeh Vaada Raha, will soon be seen as a 12-year-old kid. The 24-year-old, whose character has had a yo-yoing age graph, was earlier seen as an 18-year-old teen, and then a 21-year-old adult. The actor currently essays the role of a 32-year-old man.

Viewers will now see him as a 12-year-old kid, albeit in the body of a grown man. His new avatar results from the mental torture that Kartik endures due to paranormal forces.

Ankush visited his school in Delhi to learn the mannerisms of a 12-year-old school boy. Says Ankush, "I interacted with the students for a stretch of time to understand what goes on in their mind. It helped me build my character accordingly."

Ask him how he switches between such wide age differences within weeks, and he says, "I'm fortunate that the show is pushing me as an actor. I want the audiences to feel the difference in the time gaps."
