'Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai' actress Saumya Tandon recounts the horror of getting robbed in Turkey

'Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai' actress Saumya Tandon was robbed of Rs 60,000 in Istanbul. The actress was in Turkey for a holiday with her husband Saurabh Devendra Singh.

"After the Turkish police read and heard about the news of theft, Turkish Tourism police found my hotel and waited for me for 10 hours because I was out, took me to the areas I went that day and then took me to the police station to register my case. They were so sweet that they also helped me buy Bakhlava the Turkish sweets and dropped me to the hotel. They also said they will drop me to the airport and will make sure that I am back safe. They were so efficient and prompt, they have left me bowled over," said Saumya Tandon.

She further added, "Many incidents have happened to me while visiting various countries but I have never witnessed this kind of concern and efficiency by the police. Turkey is setting standards of how the countries should treat and care for their tourists."

"They were actually very hurt that this all is bringing them bad reputation, the entire city has shook up. Their media also covered. The head of counsulate is coming to the airport to meet me," concluded Saumya Tandon.

The actress has also made her Bollywood debut in 2007 with Kareena Kapoor Khan-Shahid Kapoor-starrer 'Jab We Met'.
