Following the theme of eternal oneness, the three-day long Naada Bindu festival will celebrate the glory of Indian music. Starting today, the musical gala will witness an ensemble of musicians who will perform of various traditional styles.



The opening act will have Carnatic musician Aruna Sairam's vocal performance. Patrons can also look forward to sitarist Shubhendra Rao and his cellist wife, Saskia Rao-de Haas' presentations on day two. Ace vocalist Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty's Hindustani recital will mark the end of this musical extravaganza.

At Samyukta, four top-notch exponents of Carnatic music and Bharatnatyam will share a platform for the first time ever. Organised by Seher, this three-day festival will have artistes like Carnatic vocalist Bombay Jayashri and TM Krishna, Bharatanatyam danseuses Priyadarsini Govind (in pictureu00a0 on top) and Leela Samson engaging themselves in a unique musical rendezvous.

"Samyukta literally means the 'coming together of two different streams' and is based on the concept of jugalbandis. We are essentially presenting a dialogue between Carnatic music and Bharatanatyam dance," sums up Sanjeev Bhargava, founder, Seher.
