India Blue's Bhuvi and Vinay blow up Delhi as Sehwag and Gambhir flop
One of India’s best young fast bowlers Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and toiler Vinay Kumar ensured India Blue’s efforts with the bat didn’t go in vain as they rocked Delhi in the final of the NKP Salve Challenger Trophy here yesterday.

After India Blue scored 274 for nine in 50 overs thanks to significant contributions from Manish Pandey (62) and Piyush Chawla (42), pacers Vinay and Bhuvaneshwar had Delhi reeling at 120 for five in 26.5 overs and the Capital didn’t experience a revival. The duo finished up with seven wickets and Delhi lost by 50 runs.
Delhi medium-pacers Parvinder Awana (4-39) and Rajat Bhatia (4-59) did well to give their star-studded batting line-up enough hope of a victory. But, Bhuvaneshwar did his chances for the forthcoming one-day series against Australia a world of good with his splendid 4-39 show.
In the fourth ball of the innings, he saw Gambhir hitting one from the toe end of his bat straight to Pandey at point — a fine comeback after being cover-driven for four off the previous ball.
Chand (6) had to depart when Bhuvaneshwar got one to nip back and disturbed the furniture. Sehwag was the third to go when Vinay successfully targeted his stumps. And Virat Kohli didn’t help matters when he was run out by Vinay for 23 after a mix up with Milind Kumar.u00a0
