Adelaide: Although Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled yesterday in the nets with a shorter run-up, the Indian team management is in no mood to take any chances by fielding the seamer in the playing XI when the Men in Blue take on their arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday here.
It is learnt that Bhuvneshwar is still not fully fit and as a result has been ruled out of India’s World Cup opening clash. Mohit Sharma will take Bhuvneshwar’s spot for Sunday’s big battle. Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma will open the innings. Vice-captain Virat Kohli will bat at No 3 followed by Suresh Raina, Ajinkya Rahane, skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Mohit and Umesh Yadav.
