Top four players of the Indian cricket team including Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan were left out of the squad for the first two ODI series against England due to injury.


The selectors, which met here to select the team, also overlooked off-spinner Harbhajan Singh. Opener Gautam Gambhir has made a comeback into the side.


The squad for the first two ODIs is M.S. Dhoni (captain), Gautam Gambhir, Parthiv Patel, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Umesh Yadav, Vinay Kumar, R. Ashwin, Ravinder Jadeja, Vinay Kumar, S. Aravind, Vinay Kumar, Rahul Sharma, Manoj Tiwari, Praveen Kumar, A. Rahane and Varun Aaron.


The first two games of the five-match ODI series against England will be played in Hyderabad on October 14 and New Delhi on October 17. The other matches will be held in Mohali (Oct 20), Mumbai (Oct 23) and Kolkata (Oct 25).
