Bindra shoots silver in Asian airgun

Olympic champion Abhinav Bindra won the silver in the men's 10m Air Rifle event at the Asian Airgun Championship here yesterday.

Olympic champion Abhinav Bindra won the silver in the men's 10m Air Rifle event at the Asian Airgun Championship here yesterday.



Abhinav shot a qualification score of 594 with 98, 99, 99, 99, 100 and 99 and then followed it up with a 103.6 in the finals to claim the silver.

Another Indian, Satyendra Singh, won the bronze with a score of 696.7 (593+103.7) while Gagan Narang finished seventh. The gold went to world record holder Zhu Qinan of China.
