It is Indian companies who import sub-standard adventure gear who are to blame for accidents like the one that claimed V Bhargav's life on Saturday.
"Most adventure gear in India is imported from Europe, but there is no dearth of fakes and sub-standard equipment," said Shubham Basu, an adventure sports expert. "In adventure sports there are two safety measuresu00a0the primary line, and the safety line. If one fails, the second helps.
