The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has sent notices to all academic institutions and several offices located in low-lying areas of the city or those situated near the sea, informing them about the exact timings of high tides between June 23 to September 20 this year.
“The letter sent to the University and other organisations is part of a general practice we carry out every year. It is a part of sharing information so that if needed, people can plan precautionary measures,” said an officer from the BMC disaster management cell.
