Girish Kulkarni is a name to reckon with in Marathi cinema. Having worked in six Marathi films till date including Vihir and Ghabricha Paus, the actor got the National Award for his prformance in Deool. Now, he is all set to make his foray into Bollywood, all thanks to Anurag Kashyap.
The actor says, “Anurag, who is a dear friend, has been waiting with open arms. It’s me who has been a little hesitant. But I think the time has come to do a Hindi film, if only to move into a new language space.
For many years, I worked as an engineer and moonlighted as an actor. Then I finally did what my heart told me to. I took up acting full-flegedly.” The film also stars telly actor Rahul Bhatt, Ronit Roy and Tejaswini Kolhapuri. Anurag says, “I have been waiting to make this film since the last seven years.”
