What's it About: He's got a short fuse, this Raam (Bhutani) boy. Buoyed and kept on an even keel by his momma (Kolhapure), he kinda loses it when she dies and he's found standing by her bloodied body, knife in hand. Did he do it? Didn't he? Was it somebody else? Do I look like I give a ...?
Well, somebody does. So this coppie, an Inspector Rathi (Puri) starts asking questions. Our boy won't say a word. Don't say it... as if some cat got his tongue! Or he could simply be exercising his right to remain silent, no?

What's Not: Well, to begin with, when you're going to go about making au00a0 murder mystery, you better have a story that draws you in right from the opening credits.
Doesn't happen here. You really cannot expect much when you have the following: Unheard-of lead actors, Padmini choosing to make a 'comeback' as a corpse, way too many flashbacks and Om Puri playing a cop for the umpteenth time.
Wonder why Naseer (who plays a shrink here) even took up this yawn yarn that yearns to earn (I'm on a roll, yay!) in the first place.
And what's with the jihad angle just for the heck of it, people? In your quest for asking questions and waiting for mute-boy to answer them, you pop one in and hope no-one will notice? Well, I'm sure everyone did. And hated it!
What To Do? Look around. Chances are, the 'audience' is probably there to 'work' in silence. There will probably be more interesting things happening around you.
