Yann Arthus-Bertrand, born 1946 in France, has become globally famous as a nature photographer. During his career he discovered the beauty of the world as seen from above when he became a hot air balloon pilot and began experimenting with aerial photography.

Set largely within prison walls and featuring an almost exclusively male and non-professional cast, the film details the prison career of Malik el Djebena (Tahar Rahim), a 19-year-old man of North African origin but estranged from the Muslim community. Sentenced to six years on an unspecified charge, Malik is chosen by Cesar Luciani (Niels Arestrup), feared kingpin of the prisons reigning Corsican gang, to kill a prisoner named Reyeb (Hichem Yacoubi) who initially offers Malik drugs in exchange for sex. Malik commits the bloody murder, and thanks to Lucianis near-total control of the prisons internal workings - gets off scot-free. Watch how Malik spends the rest of his days in prison.

Mutants follows Sonia, an EMT worker secluded in an abandoned French hospital desperately trying to save her infected boyfriend from mutation. The lovers meet up again after a long separation and find out what their life might have been like had they stayed together.

Pierre, a professional dancer, suffers from a serious heart disease. While he is waiting for a transplant which may (or may not) save his life, he has nothing better to do than look at the people around him, from the balcony of his Paris apartment. When Elise, his sister with three kids and no husband, moves in to his place to care for him, Pierre does not change his new habits. And instead of dancing himself, it is Paris and the Parisians who dance before his eyes.

At: Jamshed Bhabha Theatre, NCPA, Nariman Point.

Plan B, performed by Compagnie 111, directed by New-Yorker Phil Soltanoff, combines the best of circus, theatre and video art with technical perfection, humour and creativity. The performance bears the influence of artistic movements of the 1920s, such as constructivism or the Bauhaus. Other artistic forms present on stage, namely lights, sound, live electronic music, video, dance, design, magic and shadow play, are all laced into one unique creation.
