The prevailing feeling among the bloggers is that both the people and the authorities in both the states should exercise restraint and strive for peace. u00a0

This bloggeru00a0is urging all the people concerned to keep calm. The blogger feels that an issue of 52 years can't be settled in a day.

In a post titled "Belgaum is peaceful, but not Belgaum issue", the blogger says:

"I would request all to maintain peace and harmony in the city and don't believe on rumors as they spread like fire they can cause a lot of trouble."

"In all it's a tough time for all of us. As the busses are not going into Maharsahtra and their busses not coming in Karnataka, many would now take cars for travelling, but that too could be dangerous for a day or two till all settles down," says the blogger, making a request to anyone with plans to go to Maharashtra or someone coming into Karnataka, be careful.

"People like Raj Thackeray are playing with the emotions of people and now with two Senas, there is a competition for the most "hardline" advocate of the Maharastrian cause, whatever that means," says this blogger.u00a0

"It is hard to find parallels in other states of India where hate-mongers like Bal and Raj Thackeray have been tolerated for so long.u00a0The Karnataka government should also act against the miscreants that are causing disturbance in the state and perpetuating violence against Maharastrians," says this blogger.

This blogger feels that it is an opportunity for the BJP leadership to "show some spine and do away with their alliance with Shiv Sena."

"Regional satraps such as Thackerays whose entire careers are based upon inciting hate and violence against other Indians have no place in contemporary Indian polity. Let 2009 be the end of such divisive politics," concludes this blogger.

While calling for peace, most of the bloggers don't hesitate to show their anger against Bal Thackarey for whipping up passions.

While everyone knows that the Marathi people in Belgaum are living peacefully with Kannadigas (and both are learning each others' languages, too, naturally), was there any need for this bull****?, asks this blogger.

"While it's amply clear that there are no "atrocities" against Marathis, what do we do about the reckless wordsmithy of this irresponsible "leader"? The best wordsmith awardu00a0here, however, goes to the Shiv Sena supremo, Bal Thackeray," says the blogger named Karnatique.

Regarding Thackarey's charge of 'massacre' of the Marathi people", the blogger says:u00a0 Where has even one Marathi been even touched, let alone killed by Mr. Yeddyurappa or his government? This anti-peace and anti-India stance of the Shiv Sena will cost it heavily. Instead of inventing "atrocities" or "massacres" which don't exist, it's high time the Shiv Sena focuses on real problems inside Maharashtra such as poverty-eradication, education and employment."

This bloggeru00a0named curry chutney expresses the doubt that whether the government can solve Karnataka-Maharastra border dispute just by holding the legislative session for 10 days.u00a0

"Do our esteemed elected officials know why the Karnataka Maharastra border dispute exists? If they do, what steps have they taken other then holding the legislative session to address the fundamental causes for this dispute?," asks the blogger.
