Just as in cricket where there's only one bouncer allowed in an over, the Indian hockey team too is happy they are over their lone "bouncer" at the Asian Games here.





However, the good part for the Indian hockey team is that this is the first and last time they were playing on this below-par surface. "All our remaining matches are on Pitch No 1 which should be a better turf than this one," he Brasa. Bharat Chikara opened the scoring for India in the second minute. A couple of minutes later, penalty corner specialist Sandeep Singh doubled India's lead. Sandeep added another to his kitty in the 18th minute before which Sarvanjit Singh's field goal saw the Indians enter lemon time with 4-0 cushion. In the second half, Tushar Khandker, Arjun Halappa and Shivendra Singh completed the tally.
