The fresh pairing of Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor worked wonders at the box office with their film, 'Baaghi' minting Rs 38.58 crore in the opening weekend. To its advantage, the Sabbir Khan directorial had a solo release window with a total 2750 screens nationwide.

Trade sources suggest Baaghi has done exceptionally well in smaller centres and the business in bigger cities/ metros is also picking up. "While mixed reviews affected its growth marginally on Saturday, the strong word-of-mouth buzz helped it bounce back the next day. Considering its formidable three-day collection, the film has already proved to be a hit," says trade guru Amod Mehra.
In the first two days, Baaghi crossed the opening weekend numbers of 'Heropanti' (2014) — Tiger and Sabbir's first film together. "By the end of Sunday, it had also surpassed the entire week one business of 'Heropanti'. It is now the third highest opener of 2016 after 'Fan' (Rs 52.35 crore) and 'Airlift' (Rs 44.3 crore) and is also doing very well overseas," trade analyst Taran Adarsh avers.
