Rishi Mehta scored 98.29%

Mumbai boy Rishi Mehta did the city proud by topping the nationwide ICSE results announced yesterday.

Having scored 98.29 per cent, Rishi, a student of Jamnabai Narsee School in Juhu, scored the maximum in mathematics, computers, history and geography.

Rishi's achievement gains even more value in light of the fact that he lost his mother during the board exams.

The CBSE Std XII results were also out yesterday with girls outstripping the boys again. Around 6.3 lakh students appeared for the exam, of which 94 per cent of girls and 90.4 per cent of boys passed.
