Buoyed by Abhishek Nayar's heroics with the bat, BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited) cruised to a six-wicket win over ONGC (Oil & Natural Gas Corporation) in the 10th All India Dr DY Patil T20 Cup final played in an electrifying atmosphere under floodlights at the DY Patil Stadium, Nerul on Saturday.
The Mumbai all-rounder Nayar opening the innings for BPCL, who were in pursuit of a victory target of 159 runs, scored a quickfire 50 off just 26 balls with eight hits to the ropes and a solitary six. Nayar was unlucky to be run out in the 8th over, but he had laid the foundation for their win.
