The victim lodged a complaint when the accused started ignoring her after having an illicit affair with her

A 31-year-old call center manager was arrested by south west Delhi police for allegedly raping his junior on the pretext of marriage. The incident was reported from Chhawla area in the Capital.

An official said that the victim, Priya (name changed), lives  with her family and is working as assistant manager with a Gurgaon-based call centre.

"Priya has alleged that she had refused her manager Sumit's advances earlier.

Then the accused developed relations with her on the pretext of marriage. She approached the police after he started avoiding her," said the police official.

Meanwhile, a case of alleged gang rape was reported from Jamia Nagar area of south east Delhi, where a 23-year-old married woman who works as domestic help in the area was raped by four persons.
"Police have lodged an FIR in this respect while the accused are on the run," a police official said.

"The victim said that she was called out by an acquaintance. She has alleged that she was raped by four persons when she went to meet him.
