David Cameron revealed more than his plans for British banks at the Lord Mayor's Banquet when his shirt buttons popped open

British PM lets it all hang out

British Prime Minister David Cameron appears to have over-indulged at a fancy banquet on Tuesday night.

After tucking into the lavish feast at the Lord Mayor’s banquet in London, the British PM suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction when his shirt buttons popped open.

Seemingly unaware of his gaffe, Cameron continued to listen to the speeches at the annual Mansion House event.

But luckily, before making his own keynote address, the 46-year-old noticed his error and tried to surreptitiously re-fasten his shirt. During his speech, Cameron defended his decision last week to fly to the Middle East to flog arms.

He also spoke out in support of the banks, despite condemning the “utterly terrible mistakes” made by financiers. “They need to be addressed properly so they can never happen again. But those who think the answer is just to trash the banks would end up trashing Britain,” he said. “I say: recognise the enormous strength and potential of our financial sector, regulate it properly and get behind it.”
