Could you describe your association with the Buddh International Circuit experience?
As a consultant for the Jaypee Group, the people behind the project, I've been helping and advising them in whatever way I can over the last year or so. I've been visiting the site pretty much every week to see how things are going. The team of engineers and workers have worked tirelessly round the clock to make this happen and we're happy with what we have achieved.

The BIC has some distinctive features like an ascent and a good straight. Tell us about that.
The circuit may well be one of the quickest this season, and the ascent and elevation changes together with the long straights only paving the way for good overtaking. I'm really impressed with the layout for the Indian GP. There are 2-3 corners that should provide plenty of overtaking. It's certainly going to be a good test of skill for the drivers and teams but more than anything, it's going to be a mind-blowing experience for the Indian fans to catch a glimpse of this amazing machinery in our own backyard.
What are your expectations from the inaugural Indian GP?
There has been huge interest in F1 in India for many years. Last year's Monaco GP was watched by 27million people in India ufffd that's more than the combined TV figures for the UK, France, Germany and Italy all put together. If only 0.5 per cent of that audience comes to the Indian GP, that will give us a crowd of 150,000.
