Delighted at Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) maiden Indian Premier League win, Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has decided to present every KKR cricketer with a gold chain during the state government's felicitation function at the Eden Gardens today. "We couldn't have done anything more in so little time," a CAB official told MiD DAY.

Meanwhile, government of West Bengal has organised a civic reception at the historic ground as well as at the political headquarters, Writers Buildings, today. As per the programme, the players will tour the city in an open car from south Kolkata’s Hazra junction to Writers Buildings via Jagu Babur Bazaar.

KKR’s principal owner and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is scheduled to visit the political headquarters to meet Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. From the Writers Buildings, Khan along with his team will head to Eden Gardens for the grand reception. The entry is free on first-come-first-serve basis. It is also learnt that KKR will organise functions in many parts of the world.
