Suarez helped ensure Carragher's 666th game for the Reds last night was one to remember after inspiring a record-breaking 5-2 Premier League thrashing of Fulham.
The win was Liverpool's biggest ever at Craven Cottage and Suarez was at the heart of the rout, terrorising the home defence from first whistle to last.
"If he keeps playing like that, I think he'll be a bigger legend than I'll ever be," the defender told his club's official website, www.liverpoolfc.tv.
"He looks a really top player, he plays for the team. It shows he's adaptable and versatile, he can do different jobs for the team."
Reds side romped into a three-goal lead within the first 16 minutes with Rodriguez scoring twice before Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer allowed Dirk Kuyt's weak shot to squirm into the net.
Moussa Dembele got one back for Fulham but Rodriguez struck again for his second hat-trick in three games and Luis Suarez bagged the fifth goal to complete the demolition.
Steve Sidwell's late strike meant little to Fulham and Liverpool's five-star display lifted them above Tottenham in fifth place and within four points of fourth placed Manchester City in the race for the final Champions League spot.
Carragher added: "We've been flying since Christmas. The manager's come in and made a big difference.
"Whatever he's done has worked. Players coming in have made a huge difference as well, Suarez is superb.
"I hope I'm not getting too carried away here but I think the performances that he's showed have proved he's going to be a real player for Liverpool for years to come."
