A case of custodial death was registered in the city after an accused was arrested in a cheating case by the Shivaji Park police officials
Forty-six-year-old Musharaf Parkar later died in police custody.
The Economic Offences Wing arrested Parkar and sent him to Arthur Road Jail after which the Shivaji Park police officials obtained his custody till Monday.
He was rushed to Sion Hospital where he was declared dead.
