The Common Admission Test (CAT) results for admission to IIMs and other B-schools were declared today, with eight candidates scoring a perfect 100 percentile score.
Eight students with engineering background have scored 100 percentile in the Common Admission Test (CAT) results declared Tuesday for admission to India's top B-schools, an official said.
"The eight are all boys with an engineering background," CAT convenor Rohit Kapoor told IANS.
Six of them are from the IITs, said Prof Kapoor.
There are 10 who have scored 99.99 percentile, one of whom is a girl.
"The CAT results will be available for access until Dec 31, 2014 on the CAT website and the candidates are advised to retain a printed copy of their score card," added Kapoor.
In all, 1.94 lakh candidates had registered for the exam and 1.74 lakh took the test at 76 test centres across 40 cities over a 20-day testing window from Oct 16 to Nov 11, 2013..
Candidates sit for the CAT examination to enter the 13 Indian Institutes of Management, the Faculty of Management Studies and a few other institutions.
