The CBI yesterday grilled YSR Congress leader Jagan Reddy for over seven hours in the illegal assets case and will continue questioning him today amid speculation that he could be arrested. Emerging from the CBI camp office at 6.30 pm, Jagan said he had been asked to come again on Saturday at 10.30 am. “It was very cool and peaceful,” he remarked to queries about the questioning.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad is virtually under police siege with deployment of forces at several places to avert any law and order problem in the event of Jagan’s arrest. Prohibitory orders banning assembly of five or more people have been imposed in the city and other parts of the state.
