Vinayak Azad, regional officer for the Censor Board, said that it was improbable that the song would be passed.
"The song will be screened today for the board, but since the lyrics are so similar to those of the national anthem, it is unlikely that it will be passed," said Azad.
However, Varma insists that the song was not meant to hurt the sentiments of anyone or to ridicule the national anthem. "The song is just a medium to express the angst against the current situation in the country," said Varma at a press conference in New Delhi yesterday.
