Champions league, a big challenge for India's young batters, says Ganguly

If batsmen are looking forward to an easy time in next month's Champions League, they better read this.

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly has warned that the South African pitches will not be conducive to strokeplay and tall scores.

Ganguly will be a television commentator during the Twenty20 extravaganza that includes Indian Premier League teams like champions Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore among other domestic sides.

However, Ganguly felt the September 10-26 tournament will be a good challenge for India's young guns. "The conditions will suit the South Africans and Australians. It will also be a good learning experience for youngsters like Ambati Rayudu, Saurabh Tiwari, Murali Vijay, Manish Pandey," said Ganguly, who shared the stage with Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan. "I am a huge cricket fan and I'm confident that all the Indian teams will perform well in the Champions League. My best wishes to all the captains," said Bachchan.
