Pakistani cricketers aren't really known for their English speaking skills, but more for their talents on the field. And one just needs to search on YouTube to know that there are enough videos of Pakistani players speaking broken English.

So it's not uncommon that Pakistani cricketers are trolled for their English and that was the case again for Pakistani skipper Sarfraz Ahmed.

After his match-winning 61 against Sri Lanka that ensured they qualified for the semifinals of the ICC Champions Trophy, he came for his post-match conference. There he was caught on camera inquiring whether there were only English-speaking reporters, and as is usual, the clip was leaked online and went viral.

A website made fun of Ahmed's English on Facebook. Again what we expect. But what was unexpected was the response from Indians to Ahmed being made fun off.

Indians, who usually, never miss a chance to take a dig at Pakistani cricketers, showed enormous respect for the cricketer. In what was a welcome change from the usual trolling, these users showed some cross-border bonhomie. Most found it offensive and felt that taunting Ahmed for his English skills was in bad taste.

The website was forced to take down the Facebook post, but not before screenshots were taken.

Well, all we can say is well played, guys.

And the gesture was appreciated on social media
