Other channels are seeming to fall over each other to come up with interesting content to veer the viewers away from Kapil's comeback show 'The Kapil Sharma Show'

Kapil Sharma's new comedy show, 'The Kapil Sharma Show', hits the tube tonight. The much-awaited programme has Shah Rukh Khan as its first guest. There is definitely a pressure to perform well after Sharma's alleged fall out with Colors, which aired his previous show. While the host seems confident, it looks like several other channels are getting anxious and coming up with interesting content to compete with Kapil's comeback show.

Says a source, "Not many may accept it but a few channels will be biting their nails hoping for the show to fall flat."

Colors has strategically called off Comedy Nights Bachao on that day and will instead telecast 'Bajirao Mastani' starring Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone at the same time as Kapil's show. &TV too will air the first episode of 'So You Think You Can Dance' featuring Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Terence Lewis and Bosco Martis. Zee, on the other hand, will continue to show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' which has its loyal audience.

Rajesh Iyer, business head, &TV, says, "The timings for both the shows are different. There will be an overlap, but there's enough audience to watch both the shows. It's the perfect time slot for a reality show."

The source adds, "The controversy around &TV's 'Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai' has killed the buzz of Kapil's show. Also, Colors is cleverly pitching Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh's interviews for their comedy show to divert the audience's attention."

The source further says that the channels are planning to go on an overdrive and will promote 'Comedy Nights Live' and 'Comedy Nights Bachao' extensively on Sunday.

Colors spokesperson remained unavailable for comment.
