About Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE):
Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations was formed in 1958 as the substitution of the overseas Cambridge School Certificate Examination by an All India Examination. This set the schema for the formation of the Council. In October 1956 at the meeting of the Inter-State Board for Anglo-Indian Education, a proposal was adopted for the setting up of an Indian Council to control the University of Cambridge, Local Examinations Syndicate's Examination in India.
In December 1967, the CISCE was registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. In 1973, the Council was listed in the Delhi School Education Act 1973, as an organization for conducting examinations.Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations is devoted to serve the nation's offspring, all the way through high quality educational endeavour’s, promoting thoughtful livelihood with a pledge of superiority.
CISCE Examination and CISCE Results:
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations conducts three major examinations i.e. Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Exam, Indian School Certificate Exam and the Certificate in Vocational Education Exam.
ICSE (Class 10th / X) & ISC (Class 12th / XII): Indian Certificate of Secondary Education and Indian School Certificate Examination has been intended to provide an examination in a course of general learning, in harmony with the recommendations of the New Education Policy 1986. Private students are not allowed to sit for the ICSE & ISC examination.
The ICSE & ISC divisions are also enthusiastically involved in developing new syllabuses, set of courses and assessment of system to make education appropriate, demanding and exciting.
The board used to conduct board exams every year in the month of March. In Similar mode the exams had been conducted by the CISCE in the month of March. The CISCE Class 12th XII board Result 2014 to be announced tomorrow i.e. 17th May 2014. However, ICSE Result 2014 to be announced on 21st May at 3 PM.
