This year lot of speculation had surrounded the SSC Results date. Earlier, the results were supposed to be announced on 10th June 2014. Then however, it was delayed and then announced by the school board that it will be declared today i.e. June 17, 2014. 

Maharashtra SSC Result

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, conducts HSC and SSC Examinations in the state of Maharashtra through its nine Divisional Boards located at Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nasik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, Nagpur and Ratnagiri. Board SSC exam was conducted amid 3rd March’2014 till 27th March’2014. Exams were held in two shifts i.e. from 11:00 AM to 02:00 PM and from 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM.

The Maharashtra Board conducts examination twice a year and the number of students appearing for the main examination is around 14 Lacs for Class 12th and 17 Lacs for Class 10th, for the supplementary examination around 6 Lacs students are expected HSC and SSC together. There are about 21000 schools (SSC) and 7000 (HSC) Higher Sec. Schools / Jr. colleges in the entire state.

Around 13,37,114 candidates from across 20,507 schools had appeared for the examination. The exam was held at 3,812 centres. Last year, i.e. in 2013 the board had announced HSC Results on May 30 and SSC Results on June 7. This year SSC Result was earlier expected to be announced on 10th June'2014. However, the results declaration got delayed and to be announced today.
